Threshold

Let’s clear up a common little mystery in Empower 😉 — because Threshold isn’t just one thing!

There are actually two different Threshold parameters in Empower:

🔹Threshold (Traditional Algorithm):

The minimum slope of the detector signal needed for a peak to be detected 📈

🔹 DetectionThreshold (ApexTrack Algorithm):

The minimum peak-to-peak noise — every maximum in the 2nd derivative of the signal is treated as a peak if it’s bigger than this value 📊

In simple words: Both these parameters define what Empower sees as noise and what gets treated as a real peak. And yep — the higher the threshold, the fewer peaks you’ll integrate!

⚠️ Heads-up: They have different meanings and units!

So you can’t just copy a value from one algorithm to another 🙅‍♀️
