Integration Parameters by Apex Track Algorithm

We’ve already talked about setting Peak Width and Threshold with the Traditional Algorithm. This time, let’s cover how it works with Apex Track.

📌 Here’s how to do it:

1️⃣ Set the “Start” and “End” times in your processing method — this defines the region of the chromatogram you want to integrate. If you leave them empty, Empower will integrate the entire chromatogram.

2️⃣ Click the Integrate button in the toolbar.

Above the chromatogram, Empower will automatically display values for Peak Width and Detection Threshold.

Type these values into your processing method.

👉 They’re a good starting point — feel free to fine-tune them based on your actual chromatograms.

3️⃣ Adjust the values if needed, click Integrate again and see how it looks.

📝 Important note:

If you don’t set Peak Width and Detection Threshold in the processing method when using Apex Track, Empower will auto-calculate them for each chromatogram individually. That means every result could be processed with different values — not ideal for compliance.
