One of the most useful but often overlooked functions in Empower is the Method Set Options setting. It’s a bit hidden – but incredibly valuable!

When you open your Sample Set in the Review window, you can set Empower to:

✅ Automatically open the Method Set used to acquire the data

✅ Automatically apply the Processing Method within this Method Set

How to do it:

1. Go to Options > Method Set Options in the toolbar of your Review window
2. Tick “Acquisition Method Set: For unprocessed data, always open the Method Set used to acquire the data”
3. Tick “Automatically Apply Method Set”

Why is it so valuable:

✨ It saves time – no more loading the Method Set or Processing Method manually

✨ It reduces the risk of using the wrong Method Set or Processing Method

✨ No need to click “Integrate” and “Calibrate” for each chromatogram to see the integration.
