Copy Table Function to Export Data

When working on your data in Empower, you’ll sometimes need to quickly copy values like Amounts, Areas, or other parameters to Excel — for further calculations, trending, or reporting.

Of course, you can use Export Methods, but there’s an easier way:

👉 Copy Table!

This is especially handy when you want to copy values from an entire Result Set, multiple Result Sets, or even a whole project.

Let’s take a simple example: you want to copy the Areas of Peak A from all results of a particular Result Set.

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Project Window, then to the Peaks tab.

2. Create a View Filter:

  • Click Edit View
  • Select the following columns: Sample Name, Name, Area, Date Acquired
  • In the first line of the table, define the Name of the peak (e.g. =A)
  • Set Ascend Order for the Date Acquired column to sort your data properly. You can use Ascend/Hide if you want it sorted but hidden.
  • Save your View Filter

3. Go to the Result Sets tab and select the Result Set you need.

4. Click View As > Peaks — now you’ll see all Peak A entries from this Result Set.

5. Click the little green square in the top left corner of the table to select the entire table.

6. In the toolbar: File > Copy Table

7. Paste it directly into your Excel sheet. Done!
