Peak Width by Traditional Algorithm

Properly setting integration parameters is essential – it can:

✅ Reduce manual integration

✅ Lower compliance risks

✅ Help deliver more reproducible results

In a previous post, we talked about what Peak Width means for integration. Now let’s see how to set it:

Peak Width should be based on the narrowest peak of interest in your chromatogram.

👉 To set it:

1️⃣ Draw a baseline from where the peak starts to where it ends.

(Important: This is just a measurement step, not a manual integration!)

2️⃣ Click the “Set Processing Method Peak Width” button in the toolbar.

The new Peak Width value will appear in the box next to the button and will also be transferred to the processing method.

3️⃣ Click Integrate to apply and see the updated integration.

📝 Note: Other integration parameters will still need to be set. The value you get here isn’t mandatory, but it’s a helpful starting point you can fine-tune based on your actual chromatograms.
